Experience the golden era of the Trans Am racing series as the Austin Slot Car Club campaigns the American muscle cars of the period. Scalextric and Pioneer Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers, Cougars, Javelin’s and Barracuda’s will go head-to-head, testing drivers tuning and racing skills in this limited spec series.
Fees
Entrance fee per race is $5 for ASCC members and $10 for non-members.
Rules: (final revision 05-27-14 – changes in red)
- Must use stock chassis.
- Wheel size must be the same as original (15mm).
- Rear tires must be BRM S-117 (22X9 Shore 30).
- Minimum front tire width is 8mm, minimum front tire height is 18mm. Front tires may be coated with nail polish.
- Motors up to 25K RPM @ 12 volts.
- Any guide flag is allowed. Use of B-Nova guide adapter is allowed.
- Must have stock interiors. (Note: The street cars will require the installation of a proper driver and interior, and in some cases front and rear spoilers to be considered as a qualified entry in the series.)
- Sidewinder drive configuration.
- No lowering body (cutting body post).
- Must have clear glass (No high impact cars).
- Adjustable front axle mounts are allowed.
- All ballast must be inside the car.
- You are allowed to file the chassis to allow for float, not to reduce weight.
- Lights may be removed.
- Digital Chip plug may be removed.
- Interior (under the seat) screw posts may be removed.
- Motor and rear bushing locking posts may be removed.
- Gearing is open.
- Maximum weight 120 Grams
