LONE STAR LE MANS
15-16-17 SEPTEMBER 2016

Those of you that have already attended a Lone Star Le Mans event will probably have nodded after reading the title; for the ones that haven’t – and enjoy Motorsport Racing – let me be clearer: this year’s edition of the event will be the LAST time – in the foreseeable future – that IMSA and WEC races will take place during the same weekend.
Both big races, which add-up to almost 9 hours of entertainment, are scheduled for Saturday, with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship running first, from 11:35am to 2:15pm; and the FIA World Endurance Championship race starting at 5pm, and racing through the night to a fireworks filled finish at 11pm. Three other support racing series – the Porsche GT3 CUP; Lamborguini Trofeo Series; and the Continental Tire Challenge – have multiple races scheduled on Thursday and Friday. The full scheduled can be found at COTA’s website.

The 3-Day Multi-Turn tickets are running $79 and, if you can afford, the all inclusive VIP tickets cost $799 – which in my opinion are the best-bang-for-the-buck VIP tickets I have ever purchased.

Fellas … don’t miss this one! Here are some of last year’s photos to get Y’all’s racing blood flowing:
